I was listening to a podcast earlier (it's my morning ritual during my commute to the office) and the topic was about God's plans in our lives. The message really struck me kasi more often than not, I am guilty of making plans for myself and seeing to it that it comes into fruition... no matter what the cost. Pipilitin kung pipilitin.
How many of us claim that we have Jeremiah 29:11 inscribed in our hearts?
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
And yet we all have these plans for ourselves and we get upset if our plans get disrupted. I admit that I can be as stubborn as hell pagdating sa mga plans ko sa buhay. And palagi, the Lord steps in and something major will come that will force me to change my route. Lagi yan. Kaya lagi rin akong parang dinadagukan sa ulo pag may mga trials akong dinadaanan. Kasi ang tigas tigas ng ulo ko. Super mega over stubborn. So for those of you who are like me, I quote this verse.
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21
It's nice to plan. It's nice to have something to look forward to. It's nice to have something to be excited about. So my prayer this morning is to plan, yes, plan for ourselves but remain open to God's will; to have faith and patiently wait on Him to fulfill His promise in our lives.
