Now that day was really unlike any other experience I've had before. I mean, sure, I go to spas here in Manila but it was my first time to have a complete wellness experience.
Nurture Wellness Village is located in a place you'd never expect even existed. Haha. On our way there, I find myself wondering how far we still have to go to get to our destination. Ang layo at nasa looban talaga siya. But I guess, to be able to commune with nature, one must really go somewhere where natural resources are still untapped.
I don't know if it's just my age or the fact that I'm a wife and mom now that my interests have shifted from ordinary consumer stuff like clothes and bags to homemaking and wellness. In this case, I was so delighted to see all organic plants growing in the garden. Sosyal talaga. It was my first time also to see (and taste!) kale.
So nice the set-up of the event! You know, this place can actually hold weddings. Sabi ko nga kay Mon, if we were to do our wedding differently, I would choose this to be our venue. We'd still hold it in December (like our actual wedding date). Tapos ipapastyle ko yung place. Tapos mga 30-50 guests lang. How romatic and intimate!
After some welcome remarks by the birthday celebrant, wellness talks were given by Mr. Anthony Pangilinan on Stress and Ms. Catherine Turvill, owner of Nurture Spa, on the Power of Oil and Massage. And then an activity. We got to mix our own massage oil!
After the talk, we were each given a hat to wear for a farm tour. #sooosummer #sosyal

How nice is it that when you cook, you just go to your garden and pick fresh vegetables? It's something I hope I can do, although right now it's just a distant and wishful dream. |
Kale Juice. Ang sarap and so refreshing! This blended drink tastes like guava, but it's composed of kale, pineapple, and passion fruit. |
Details of the backdrop. I like the rustic vibe it gives off. It fits with the overall theme of the place. And I also like the mason jar bit. I love mason jars for everything -- as design for the house or as a glass or as storage for condiments. I can't stress it enough. I love mason jars!
Here are the mommy bloggers! The woman standing in the rightmost part (standing) of the photo is Ms. Joji Coloma, publisher of Celebrity Mom magazine.

Mommy Hacienderas. Kabayo na lang ang kulang! Special thanks to Lariza's monopod we were able to take pictures of ourselves. |
We walked around 500 meters under the scorching heat of the sun to get to this place. It was worth it. Upon our arrival, we were given ice-cold towels to wipe our sweat off. |
This little tour is truly an educational experience for me. Everywhere I look there's always something new to see. The employees that accompanied us during the tour told us about the medicinal uses of these plants.
These are foliage I encountered along the way. How nice, 'no? The one on the left reminds me of Cath Kidston designs. Haha. |

As we cap our activities off, we were given foot massage to complete the wellness experience.
The warm water felt so nice on my tired little feet! |
The massage felt really good! As in. AS IN! I get massages here in the city but never as good as the one I got from Ate Lut. I was told that all the therapists of Nurture Spa are rigorously trained before they can perform service to Nurture's clients.

Nurture Spa isn't just a massage place, you can book a room here as well! Once you book, a spa service is already included.
You can book a tent too! You know, if you're the glamping kinda person.
Thank you so much to Celebrity Mom Magazine and to Ms. Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan for inviting us to celebrate your birthday with you! Many thanks also to Ms. Catherine Turvill for the very warm and personal tour you gave us. More power to Nurture Wellness Village!
