CONTEST IS CLOSED
Hi guys! Sorry to have been away for so long. Been busy living life so I will have something to talk about in this blog! ;) So stay tuned because I will blog my heart out in the next few days.
But first...
It's finally December! My favorite month of the year, not only because it's Christmas, but because it's also my birth month! And because of this, I have decided to host my very first blog giveaway! Yey!
I've always been a planner kind of girl. My very first planner was a filofax, given to me by my sister, when I was in high school. I've continually used planners since then. I have used many different kinds of planners; from ordinary datebooks to fancy ones to cutesy ones to serious ones. Planners have evolved a lot since the first time I've used them. And quite frankly, some planners can be a bit overwhelming.
Which brings me to the planner I have in hand: The Emily Ley Simplified Planner.
The Simplified Planner in Navy Dots source |
"You won't find anything else in the Simplified Planner and I did that on purpose. I think that sometimes we can use tools that leave us feeling a little more overwhelmed. And I wanted this planner to be something that: I started each day with a fresh start, in a clean place, that was ready for namely three things. (1) what I had to do that day, (2) what appointments I had, and (3) what we were gonna have for dinner because that's how my brain works."
"At the end of the day, it's all about simplicity. Let's simplify life so that we can take care of our need-tos and focus on our want-tos. Let's ditch that standard of perfection and embrace a simpler, more what-matters-most lifestyle."
- Emily Ley
One lucky winner will get to have one 2015 Emily Ley Simplified Planner in Happy Stripe! All you have to do are the following:
1. Like my Facebook page,
2. Follow me on Twitter,
3. Follow me on Instagram,
4. Leave a comment below with your name and e-mail and complete this phrase: My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller is..." and say why.
Contest is open to those with Philippine address only.
Good luck!
Update: After much thought and deliberation, I am happy to announce the winner of the Simplified Planner! Congratulations to Carmel David of www.pinkmyrideph.com!
PS: I would like to thank my long-time friend, Sheree, for choosing the winner of my first ever giveaway! To all those who joined, thank you, thank you so much for supporting me and this giveaway.
I love all your answers so much that it was really tough for me to choose just one. I let my best friend choose the winner because one, she knows me too well that she would know which answer will capture my attention and two, because she doesn't know any of you so you can be sure that it's a totally unbiased opinion.
Happy Holidays, my friends!
I love your "Oh hello there, you!" blog post because baby. Haha! I love 4D ultrasound photos so much, no matter whose babies they are. Every blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc post that have them, I love looking at them so much!

My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller is the first post that I've read which is "Chronicles of the Travelling Tot - The Prelude" because I can relate. We love to travel because I know that life is too short and I want to enjoy the world with my family while I'm still here. And when I'm not here anymore, I hope my son will remember our travel adventures. I think that's the best thing that I can give, happy memories.

My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller is Hhhhhmm.. acttually lahat. Pero since isa lang, eto pinaka gusto ko.. "Labor & delivery: how it all happened." Why? kasi dun ako nagkaroon ng idea kung pano mag labor and na prepare ko ang sarili ko nung manganganak na ko. :)

My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller is "Currently loving: Twinings English Breakfast Tea". I love tea. I order tea instead of coffee in coffee shops. I asked my husband to buy me a tea set. English Breakfast is the only tea my husband enjoys drinking with me.
My favorite The Reluctant Storyteller is this one. Why? Mommies and, well, everyone should learn to plan out and organize their lives (if not all, at least most of them). Working moms and even those who stay at home can definitely stay at the top of their game when they have most of their schedule figured out. I love planners, too!

OMG! I was crushing on this planner, but I can't commit to it because I'm the "extra features" kinda girl. So I still bought a Certified Positive Christian planner. I hope whoever wins your bonggang giveaway would really use and love the planner!
ReplyDeletestill looking for my 2015 planner... last year i got mommy mundo, but this time i wanted to try another. how much is this by the way?
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! It's $58 or roughly Php2,500, designed and published in the U.S. :) It's a nice planner, not much frills but it's got everything you need in your day-to-day life.
DeleteMy favorite post on The Reluctant Storytelling is this Blog "Lets plan life together shall we?" I too enjoy planning and jotting down my plans on a planner. I used to keep a planner but I stopped. Since then Life just starts and ends. Some events I remember, some dont. Its just not the life I wanted. I wish to go back to that life I used to live, where I plan, I write and remember what happened and the things I did in life.

I'm not gonna join anymore because I have a planner already. But, I love how it looks! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been drooling about this planner online for ages! I'm a planner girl too and have tried so many different kinds. I would really, really love to have this one. :) Anyway, I love your Wandering Feet posts because as much as I love to travel, I'm unable to do it much. My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller though is your honeymoon post on Misibis Bay. I never really had a chance to go on a honeymoon with my hubby so I envy you! Hahaha! :)

Oh, Wow! Emily Ley's Simplified Planner (heart, heart, heart) :)
ReplyDeleteI am also a planner girl like you Mommy Jen, been looking for a planner, that will help me balance/remind everything as a mompreneur, newbie blogger, mommy+wifey and homemaker :)
My favorite post on the The Reluctant Storyteller is your blogpost entitled "On Failure and Getting Back Up" I can relate to that post so much, because 2014 became our "pruning" year for me and my husband.
We've learned so many lessons in life this year.. Business | Parenting | Time Management | Finances...
I agree with you, if there's someone we can lean on and who will welcome us arms wide open, that's only God. And I also admire your character that you have the "perseverance" and positive outlook in life.
Not to mention, we both have the best supporters in life - our hubbies.
Ooops.. I also love that verse, Philippians 4:13 Indeed, "He is our strength"
Happy Birthday Month! Advance Merry Christmas Mommy Jen!
God bless you even more! ;)

I'm really saving for my next travel adventures with my family in 2015 or maybe 2016 hahaha and that includes a trip to Korea. I'm excited to visit the Nami Island, palaces and I want to have a souvenir picture wearing Hanbok lol! I'm really looking forward to travel, travel and travel.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Merry Christmas to you and your family :)

Hey Jen!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post on your blog is "On Failure and Getting Back Up", simply because it's always nice to know that I'm not alone. All of us have our stories of failing and getting back up, but not all of us are brave to tell those stories just like what you did. This was actually the first post I've read on your blog shortly after I met you earlier this year. Thanks for sharing it with us. :)

My favorite post on The Reluctant Storyteller is Anxious l Excited written last 18 May 2013. It is because
ReplyDeleteI was inspired and somewhat enlightened on why God gave us Ava. Like Jen, there were moments when I also didn't feel so yey! about this pregnancy thing. There were times when I ask myself, "Am I really worthy of this gift?" There were also moments when I begin to worry if I truly deserve to be a steward of God's child. But then I realized somehow, somewhere I made things that pleased God and that He blessed me with Ava. Also, like Jen, I'd like to think that God chose us (me & Mike) to be His stewards for a reason. And now that Ava turned 1 and has grown to be smart, charming, and adorable, I thank Him and appreciate Him for this great blessing!

An interesting planner. I haven't seen this around yet but I'll check it out as the idea to it sounds like something that would work for me.
